This workshop consists of two meetings with a duration of 4 hours each. At the end of the workshop you have created a valuable and attractive personal action plan which helps you to work more efficient and effective in achieving your goals. Tackling our Carbon Emissions

We’re the first major airline to offset the carbon emissions from the fuel used for every single flight.

 

Naturally, we believe that flying is a fantastic thing. But we have to balance this with the effect we know it is having on the environment. So for every flight we operate, we’ll offset the carbon it produces from the fuel used, by investing in projects that include the planting of trees or protection against deforestation. We know that carbon offsetting is only an interim measure while new technologies are developed. However, at the moment we believe it’s the best way to remove carbon from the atmosphere.

But we won’t stop there. We’ll continue to find other ways to reduce carbon emissions such as taxiing on one engine or removing weight from our aircraft, both of which use less fuel. We have championed the development of electric technology and will continue to do so in order to ensure that flying remains a sustainable option for us all in the future.

Zakenreizen: soms zijn ze wat te enerverend

Zakenreizigers kampen met een imagoprobleem. Buitenstaanders beoordelen hun trips al snel als ‘snoepreizen’, terwijl ze vaak overuren maken en slecht slapen. Hoe voorkom je dat je reis een uitputtingsslag wordt?

Over het algemeen is er geen tijd om bij te slapen. Als ambassadeur van een merk ben ik het gezicht en neem ik altijd de uitnodiging aan om met mensen te gaan eten. Dat hoort nu eenmaal bij mijn functie’, aldus Robert Schinkel (44), ambassadeur van theemerk Dilmah en eigenaar van theelikeurenmerk Pekoe. Hij doet ongeveer eens per maand Europese steden, het Midden-Oosten en Azië aan.

Nomineer HIER jouw kandidaat voor de Sustainable Business Travel Award 2020

In november 2020 zal voor de derde keer de jaarlijkse Sustainable Business Travel Award worden uitgereikt aan de Travel Manager die op het terrein van Duurzaam Zakelijk Reizen de meest onderscheidende bijdrage heeft geleverd. Het doel van deze award is om Duurzaam Zakelijk Reizen onder de aandacht brengen van en te stimuleren bij Travel Managers in Nederland.

De Sustainable Business Travel Award is een partnership tussen NATM, Climate Neutral Group en Thalys International, waarbij betrokken partijen hun beschikbare kennis en kanalen op het gebied van respectievelijk travel management en duurzaamheid zoveel mogelijk zullen inzetten.

Op het gebied van duurzaam zakenreizen valt nog veel te winnen en omdat zelfs kleine stappen bijdragen is er bewust voor gekozen om geen absolute, maar relatieve criteria te hanteren. Op deze manier wordt de duurzame inspanning van een Travel Manager persoonlijk beloond.

Criteria
Bij de beoordeling van de duurzame inspanning wordt qua inhoud gekeken naar:
→ Planet: o.a. klimaat (CO2-emissies van reis & verblijf)
→ People: o.a. medewerker welzijn en mensenrechten
→ Profit: o.a. demand management en smarter travel

En qua persoon naar:
→ Impact: wat is het concrete resultaat?
→ Daadkracht: wat is de invloed van de Travel Manager?
→ Visie & ambitie: is er een toekomstgericht duurzaam beleid?

Procedure

  • Iedereen mag Travel Managers nomineren voorzien van een motivatie (max. 350 woorden) via onderstaand nominatie formulier (tot 7 november 2020).
  • Een Travel Manager mag ook zichzelf nomineren.
  • De vakjury stelt een lijst van 3 genomineerden op en deze wordt tijdens de bijeenkomst gepubliceerd.
  • De genomineerden krijgen persoonlijk bericht dat ze zijn genomineerd. Genomineerden, niet lid van de vereniging, worden persoonlijk uitgenodigd om deze bijeenkomst bij te wonen.
  • Tijdens de ledenbijeenkomst worden de genomineerden a.d.h.v. een samenvatting van het jury oordeel voorgedragen aan de aanwezigen, die vervolgens hun stem kunnen uitbrengen.
  • Uitreiking van de Award vindt plaats aan de genomineerde met de meeste stemmen, waarbij de stemmen van de jury en van de aanwezigen ieder voor 50% meewegen.
  • De leden van de vakjury zijn uitgesloten van deelname.
  • Over de uitslag van de vakjury kan niet worden gecorrespondeerd.

Vakjury
Voorzitter namens NATM (Odete Pimenta da Silva), direct member van de NATM (Interface), allied members van de NATM (Climate Neutral Group en Thalys International), Manuschka Hundepool (Zakenreis). Bij staking van stemmen geeft de stem van de voorzitter de doorslag.

Prijs
De winnaar ontvangt een wisseltrofee en daarnaast ontvangt de winnaar nog een persoonlijke prijs. De wisseltrofee blijft in het bezit van de winnaar voor de duur van 1 jaar.
