Eérste Dreamliner geland op Rotterdam The Hague Airport

Rotterdam, 1 februari 2017 - Op dinsdagochtend 31 januari 2017 is de eerste Dreamliner geland op de luchthaven Rotterdam The Hague Airport. Belangstellenden konden die ochtend een kijkje nemen in de nieuwe Dreamliner welke ruimte biedt aan maximaal 500 personen.

De Dreamliner beschikt over een aangename ambiance door de toepassing van pilaren. De gehele ruimte is geluidsdicht en biedt free WiFi aan boord. Zon- en daglichtinval leveren een belangrijke bijdrage aan de beleving van de binnenruimte welke uitermate geschikt is voor meetings, presentaties, borrels, bijeenkomsten en partijen. De Dreamliner beschikt over een complete AV-inrichting, bestaande uit schermen, geluidsinstallatie, microfoon, pointer en optioneel podium. De ruimte kan worden ingedeeld in verschillende opstellingen, te weten: School, Carre, U-vorm, Theater, Receptie, Diner, Blok en Cabaret. De Dreamliner is gelegen op de tweede verdieping van Worldhotel Wings en is op 31 januari jl. in gebruik genomen tijdens een speciaal georganiseerde Health Challenge. Genodigden konden die ochtend deelnemen aan een ontspannen yogasessie, gevolgd door een uitgebreid Healthy Breakfast Buffet om de dag vol nieuwe energie te starten.

Uitbreiding bestaande vloot

“Met de toevoeging van de Dreamliner aan onze vloot, kunnen we nog beter voorzien in de wensen en behoeften van onze gasten. Naast de bestaande vergaderruimtes en boardrooms in verschillende thema’s, de evenementenhal/hangar van 900 m2 en het auditorium, kunnen we nu met extra 494 m² uitgebreid inspelen op beschikbare capaciteit voor grote evenementen in de Metropoolregio Rotterdam Den Haag. We zien de vraag naar de organisatie van grote evenementen in onze regio steeds meer toennemen”, vertelt Berry Gerretsen, directeur Worldhotel Wings enthousiast.

Worldhotels brings world luxury to Europe


Worldhotels will unveil World Luxury, a hand selected collection of independent hotels at International Luxury and Travel Market (ILTM) 2016 (Cannes, 5 – 8 December).

World Luxury hotels undergo a 750-point quality assessment that includes an ‘emotional’ audit designed by LRA by Deloitte. The first of its kind in the luxury travel industry, this tailored audit focuses on elements that transcend the typical mystery shop, emphasising the guests’ emotions following their stay. ‘Mind the Gap’ hotel onderhandelingen cruciaal volgens HRG

Volgens de bevindingen van het laatste hotel onderzoek van HRG is meer controle over zakelijke hotel programma's in een steeds complexere en meer gefragmenteerde markt cruciaal.

Gemiddelde kamerprijzen zijn ook in 2015 verder gestegen en worden gedreven door de groei van "megasteden": regionale en nationale trends worden steeds minder belangrijk en als het ware vervangen door de economische en industriële ontwikkeling van individuele steden.

Margaret Bowler, directeur Global Hotel Relaties licht toe: "Uit HRG’s Hotel onderzoek in 2015 bleek hoe belangrijk het voor klanten is om een stevige grip op hun hotelprogramma te hebben. Zoals we vorig jaar al zeiden is hierin de balans tussen prijs, locatie, kwaliteit en beschikbaarheid van cruciaal belang en zullen deze factoren de markt verder bepalen. The newest addition is BW Premier Collection The Alba, located in Nairobi, Kenya. Amersfoort, 18 augustus 2016 – Het Grand Winston Hotel in Rijswijk is per direct overgenomen door PLAZA Hotelgroup GmbH en aangesloten bij Best Western® Hotels & Resorts.
De nieuwe naam van het hotel is Best Western Plus Grand Winston.

Het hotel, beter bekend als Worldhotel Grand Winston, is in juli failliet verklaard. PLAZA Hotelgroup en Best Western Hotels & Resorts zijn blij het hotel een nieuwe toekomst te kunnen bieden.
Bijna alle medewerkers zijn in dienst gekomen van de nieuwe eigenaar.

De familie Yalaz, oprichter van de PLAZA Hotelgroup, is de nieuwe eigenaar van het hotel. PLAZA is eigenaar van 19 Best Western hotels met meer dan 2.500 kamers in Duitsland, Oostenrijk,
Tsjechië en Nederland en zij brengt daarmee een rijke ervaring in de hotelindustrie met zich mee om van het Best Western Plus Grand Winston een succes te maken.

“Voor de komende maanden staan er een aantal grote renovaties op de planning om de algehele kwaliteit van het hotel verder te verbeteren” zegt Yonca Yalaz, managing director van de PLAZA Hotelgroup. “Alle bedden van de ruim 252 hotelkamers worden vervangen door nieuwe, comfortabele bedden om onze gasten een aangename en goede nachtrust te bieden. Het hotel biedt tevens zeven junior suites en een kamer voor mindervaliden. Gasten die meerdere nachten verblijven kunnen gebruik maken van één van de zes apartment suites, welke voorzien zijn van een kitchenette.

Het hotel biedt verder zes vergaderzalen met state-of-the-art faciliteiten (geschikt voor groepen tot 250 personen), een fitness centre, eigen parkeerplaatsen, ontbijtrestaurant en een modern restaurant The Grand Canteen waar gebruik kan worden gemaakt van lunch en diner. “Met alweer het derde nieuwe hotel voor Best Western dit jaar, liggen we op koers met onze plannen.
